My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tony, a 10-month old possible Belgian malinois/Lab mix. Tony weighs anround 50 pounds. He and his liter mates are from a rural county in KY, and in December they were all surrendered to the shelter. We were fortunate to get Tony. His foster Mom says he is an amazing boy, and she is very familiar with the breed so knows a good one when she sees it. Tony was understandably very scared on the trip to Cinn, but rode great in the crate with no crying or whining. When he was taken to the vet a week later he was just tethered, and behaved very well in the car and at the vet. He walks very well on a leash. His foster home has a GSD and 2 pug mixes. All he wants to do is play with them, but sadly they are seniors so prefer to sleep most of the time. He has absolutely no aggression, and learns quickly. He has quickly learned sit, come and shake paw. He is not even crated at night. He loves toys, and will pull all out all of the toy basket. He is also a very affectionate boy; loving attention from his people, and loves to cuddle on the couch, but we are teaching the word off and he is responding. To adopt Tony we are looking for a home with another dog who likes to play; but best would be a dog closer to his size as some small dogs may not appreciate his playfulness. A home where his family wants to work with him would be good. A fenced-in back yard is also required as he does like to run. Tony is neutered, microchipped and current on vaccines.
