My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Remy is stunning sweet female husky mix with one brown and one blue eye and beautiful white fur. Mixed with what you ask? We're not sure but a doggy DNA test would tell us. She's only 7 months old and 50 lbs and of course still has those puppy ways.

Remy is smart, happy, silly, bouncy, playful, adventurous, athletic and of course beautiful. She has alot of energy and loves to be outside. Remy would flourish in an experienced home who can give her the structure she needs. Experience with huskies are a bonus! Huskies are known for their vocalizations, ability to escape, and smarts and Remy definitely has that husky personality. Familiarity with husky characteristics are recommended.

Remy would be good in a home with older teens and adults. She is happy outside running with older kids and if her mom or dad are active that would be perfect. She thrives being an only pet cause she gets all the attention, but could be fine with a submissive male that lets her be the boss!

Remy is house trained! She goes to her crate with a little treat motivation. She is working on puppy manners and loves to ride in the car. Applications can be found at CanineCollective.org

Our adoption process takes several steps and cannot be completed in one day. All of our volunteers work full time and assist the rescue in their spare time. Please allow 2-3 business days for a response.

* Applicants must be willing to make a ten plus year commitment to their new family member.

* Applicants must commit to daily exercise, walks, trips to the dog park or play in the back yard. A well exercised dog is a happy well behaved dog!

* Applicants living in a rental property must provide proof of pet policy from landlord.

* Applicants must provide a veterinarian reference and if there are existing dogs in the household. All pets must be spayed/neutered and current on all shots and heartworm medication.

*Please allow at least a 7-14 day adjustment period for your new dog. Rescue dogs go thru a lot of changes and need a few days to get used to their new surroundings and adjust. Adopting a dog should be a serious commitment, so please be willing to work out the kinks. Our dogs aren't perfect but with proper training and guidance they make awesome, loving pets.

*Our adoption fees vary based on the age and medical needs of the dogs.
