Cooper would do best in a home in a calm, rural neighborhood with a solid fenced backyard with experienced dog owners who can offer routine and structure. He gets along with dogs and cats and promises to be a loving pack member.
Cooper has been living/working with a trainer on his shyness and fear reactivity. He's improved dramatically in meeting new dogs and people but needs to get into a proper home to progress. The trainer will give any adopter/foster free lessons to ensure a smooth transition. He just needs a chance!
Cooper will also have a special crate to accommodate his separation/storm anxiety. He dreams of landing in a human/animal pack where he can provide his sweet companionship and enjoy days of easy living.
Age: 5.5 years
Weight: 80 lbs
Vetting: Neutered, updated on vaccines, HW negative, and on prevention.
Temperament: Good with other dogs and cats, but not ideal for homes with kids.
Training: Crate-trained, house-trained
Questions about Cooper: Schelby.Stuckey@gmail.com and taylor.lee@grra.com
To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit.
