My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This animal is NOT available through Brother Wolf Animal Rescue. This is a courtesy listing only, so you will need to contact the current owner for more information or to adopt.

PLEASE CONTACT THE OWNER: text: (760) 815-8663 or email: jessicacharlenemoore@gmail.com

Burlap (AKA Lil B) is a Bluetick Coonhound that my partner and I added to our family last May. He is almost 1 now! He's grown up to be such a beautiful, gentle, earnest, and amazing boy. He loves peanut butter, long hikes, his daycare friends (his best friend is a golden retriever named Oona) and tearing stuffed animals apart. He is our best friend in so many ways.

Unfortunately, he does not do well living with other dogs or kids in his home.

Burlap will do very well in a loving, happy home without other dogs or kids and preferably with someone who has raised hounds before and lives outside of the city (our boy likes to howl)! He needs an owner who is willing to do more behavioral training with him and who has the time and energy to give him lots of exercise.

Burlap is whip-smart, knows basic obedience commands, is goofy and sweet and honestly the best dog we've had in so many ways.

If you or someone you know is looking for a young hound, please contact me.

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Visit our website at www.bwar.org/adopt and fill out our adoption survey. This helps us get to know you and make a good match.

2.

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

We have all adopters to meet an animal at the shelter or in foster before taking them home. Dog adoptions currently require an appointment.

3.

Meet the Pet

Meet with our available animals and speak with one of our experienced adoption counselors. You may visit with more than one animal.

4.

Sign Adoption Contract

Once you have met your perfect match, most of our animals are ready to go home the same day! Most of our animals do have an adoption fee.

Additional adoption info

Brother Wolf Animal Rescue works to remove barriers in the adoption process and work collaboratively with our adopters. We ask that all adopters fill out our online adoption survey so we can learn more about you and help to make the perfect match. You can fill out the survey on our website: www.bwar.org/adopt.

Most of our animals are ready to go home with you the same day you meet them.

All animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines.

Adoption fees are refundable within two weeks from the date of adoption if the animal is returned.

Adopters are required to be at least 18 years of age.

Adoptions end at the Adoption Center’s scheduled closing time – 6pm Tuesday to Saturday.
