My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! I’m Funyuns and I think I put ‘fun’ in my name! My siblings and I were brought here from Alabama. Living there wasn’t safe for us, so luckily, we are all here and ready to find our forever homes.
Here are a few things I’d like you to know about me I look different than my siblings, it looks like I have raccoon eyes! I have the cutest ears!
I love to be snuggled and held! I’m a people person.
I’m currently living in a foster home with another foster dog and a foster puppy. I am working hard on learning to be a house dog. I am doing great with potty training. My foster family says I’m potty trained on a schedule. I don’t have accidents in my crate. I sleep in my crate at night and when my foster family is away from the house. I do like to have a few toys and a chew in the crate with me to keep me busy.
I am treat motivated which is helpful with training. I’ve already learned to sit and I’m working on down and stay. I have great recall when I’m outside. I’m eager to please.
I love to play with toys. My favorite thing to do is play with my foster sibling who is one year old or chew on a yummy bone my foster mom gets at the pet store. I love all dog and people old and young!
Come meet me at an adoption event or put in an application to get a one-on-one meet and greet with me. I promise you will love me! ❤️
See you soon
Funyuns 🐶😘

All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption.

Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.

More about this rescue

The mission of Warrior Dog Rescue is to save the dogs that are homeless, left abandoned in shelters, are surrendered by their owners, those that are being abused and neglected, and those that are left wandering. We are committed to providing them the medical care they need, helping them to overcome their past by providing them loving, educated foster homes, finding them their perfect forever home by means of a thorough adoption process, and guiding them on their journey into their new life. They all deserve a “good dog life… every single one of them.”

Warrior Dog Rescue will be a model rescue by partnering with overcrowded shelters that need to make room for more abandoned dogs. We will continue to educate others about responsible dog ownership in regards to safety, spay/neuter, nutrition, obedience, socializing, abuse, and neglect. We acknowledge that we will have a role in this industry to take the lead on providing awareness to others in the community and across the country. Every dog will know what it feels like to be loved till the end of their life.
