My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lil’ Ms. Silver. She is 18 months old, 40 lbs. and is a small Pitmix, with a brindle coat and a very shy personality. She is a laid back super sweet little girl despite having a rough start in this world. She was saved from a hoarding situation where for the first 6 months of her life she had not seen the blue sky or even touched green grass. Being locked in a house with her litter mates, she was bullied and not allowed to eat. We took her in as a foster, healed her skin, fattened her up, started socializing her, crated and house trained her and sent her to the vet to get spayed, microchipped and up to date on all her shots. Ms. Silver is as sweet as they come and is a pretty lazy pup who loves to play with her foster siblings. She is still working on trusting humans so she will kennel herself or hide in a corner if approached but sit on the couch or lay in the bed and she will jump right up and paw at you for belly rubs but her favorite spot is under her chin. She is a cuddle bug and loves having a pillow to sleep on. She loves to run and is the first to roll over and submit and rolls back over and runs to play again. She is not sure about new fur buddies but is very submissive and I do not see any issues. Even when you approach her and she is cornered (which you have to do to cut her nails or leash her) she has NEVER shown any sign of aggression but does shake like a chihuahua. She gets along with dogs but cats are unknown to her, she currently lives with dogs, horses and cows. An ideal home for Silver would be one that would be willing to work with her to bring her out of her safety shell she has created. A home with preferably another dog her size or bigger so she can run and play with, it should have a fenced yard as well but be careful because she believes all toys should be outside and left there. She is such a sweetie and deserves a furever home with someone that will cuddle with her when she needs it and will help her learn to trust that when a human walks up to her it is not to harm her and she does not have to flee. Is that home with you?
