Hello, Dolly is my name,

I am a young pup, still learning how to be a good dog. I watch my pack and follow their lead.

I am very affectionate and want to give kisses to everyone. I live with cats and other dogs now and love to play with them all. I don’t live with children, but I think they would be fun to play with too.

If you have toys of all kinds to play with I will be a very happy girl. I like car rides and don’t get nervous or throw up or anything.

Right now, I have access to go outside when I want to, so I know to go out to do my business outside.

My foster takes me out walking on a leash. I am getting better at that, but there are still times when I see something interesting that I will pull. I know how to Sit, Stay, and Come so I must be a pretty smart girl.

Our adoption process is on our website at: https://hope4lapawz.org/adoption-process/

Once approved, we establish transport for your dog and work out delivery which is usually to an airport near your city (unless you are here in La Paz).

Adoption fees are $400 USD and transport fees are typically a flat $300 to any city that Alaska Airlines flies direct from San Diego. Adoptions for dogs to be living in Mexico are $1500 + Transport Fees.

Dogs traveling outside of Mexico are certified and have all appropriate documentation, shots, tests, and exams. In addition to the rescuing and medical rehabilitation of these dogs, we have regular training classes for the dogs to encourage socialization as well as leash and crate training while they are in their foster homes awaiting adoption.

Our adoption team supplies information, and tools, recommended training books. They also perform periodic adoption follow ups and assistance for adoptive families. We want each of our dogs to be set up for success in their new home. Our goal is to provide adopters with a complete package of rescue, care, and adoption support to promote a successful, happy life for you and your new dog.

We publish videos and we will do online video chats as well. If you find a dog you think you might like to adopt, we will work with you personally to determine if it is a good fit.

More about this rescue

We are an all-volunteer organization in La Paz, BCS, Mexico, and include local community of rescuers (called "rescatistas"). Dogs that are rescued from the streets are fostered in homes where they are treated as members of the family. They are often fostered with other dogs and sometimes cats and children.

Our organization encourages more in the community to rescue and foster by offering a support system of food, medical care, and professional training. As rescuers get involved, they educate their neighbors, family, and friends about the importance of proper animal care, spaying/ neutering, and thus help to break the cycle of abuse and neglect.
