CONNECTICUT: Her name is Girl, but this lovely lady is more like a queen, looking for a loving forever home to spread her majesty and spend her golden years.
Poor sweet Girl must have been heart broken when her owner left for Honduras and never returned, leaving her to be surrendered to an overcrowded shelter. At 10+ years old, it was not long before Girl found herself on the emergency placement list, despite her timid nature. Easy-going Girl loves car rides though, and happily made her way to a great foster home in Connecticut.
Girl has a beautiful toasted coat of buttery-cream ombre and is described as a very calm and quiet dog, who loves snuggling up into cozy blankets. She is gentle with people, quickly showing affection with tender little licks. Her foster says, “she gives the most dainty kisses.” Girl has a lower energy level but is still very much full of life! She can get over stimulated on walks so playing in her own yard might be a better way for her to exercise. She has been through a lot and would love to see her in a solo-pet home where she can soak up all the love she deserves. In the house, Girl likes to hang out where the people are, peacefully curled up on something soft nearby. Psst - her favorite scratch spot is behind her ears and she will politely ask you for said scritches in her adorable and gentle way!
All lovable Girl wants is to live a simple life and in return, she will be the most loyal, loving companion you could imagine. Would you like to make this deal with Girl?
If you can open your heart and home to dear Girl, please contact AmsterDog at 917-689-8414 or by e-mail at info@amsterdog. You can apply to foster or adopt Girl at AmsterDog.org.
Thanks for caring about a pet in need!

AmsterDog Rescue does not have its own facility. Instead, we rely on fosters to care for our beloved animals. Our available animals may change depending on your location and we do transport animals for adoptions within a reasonable distance. Since you will possibly be speaking with and meeting a foster directly, an application must be filled out prior to meet and greets.
