What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Winston is an 8 year old lab mix, adopted from Harbor Humane Society in 2019. It was just him and I at the beginning and besides some separation anxiety, he was a perfect fit for me. Over the years I adopted another dog and 4 cats which obviously changed the dynamic at home. He loves/needs to snuggle, play with tennis balls and loves to swim more than any other dog I've seen. However, he is a very anxious dog. Over the years I've tried all sorts of methods to alleviate this anxiety and keep him happy. What I have realized, is that he would be happiest in a home where he can receive more one on one attention than I am able to provide. I love him but it would be selfish of me to keep him in an environment he can no longer thrive in. His ideal home is one without many other pets in the home (ideally the only dog) where things are calm and structured with lots of walks and snuggles. He is not aggressive towards other animals but can become easily worked up with high energy dogs.
