My story

*People/Kid Friendly
*Potty Trained

*Recovering From Heartworm Treatment

BIO:
Greetings from Sandie! FTF rescued me from an overcrowded Texas animal control facility, where I was brought after being found wandering the streets. My foster mom can't believe no one came to claim me, as she says I'm the sweetest and most gentle girl-not to mention ever so easy to please. As long as I can be near a human, I'm content. I enjoy going on walks (and have excellent leash manners) and exploring the backyard. I'm also good at entertaining myself, having discovered the joys of playing with toys and bones. And at the end of the day, when walks are finished and playtime is over, I'll snuggle in close to you on the couch for some schmoozing and snoozing.

A few other facts about me: I love everyone I meet, and that includes other pooches of all sizes. So if you have a resident canine, we'll become buddies in no time. I should mention I'm a terrific listener-not just obeying some basic commands but always eager to hear anything you want to share with me. I'm happy to report I'm fully potty trained and have started to stand by the door when I need to go out. I'll also use a pee pad for emergencies (like if you have to leave me for an extended period). I don't need to be crated, as I always stay in my bed overnight or when my foster mom leaves the house. The only requirement for my adoption is that you agree to keep me calm for the next few weeks, as I recover from heartworm treatment. That shouldn't be hard, though, as everyone tells me I'm super chill!

My foster mom thinks I'd make a wonderful addition to almost any home. So please fill out an adoption application and schedule a meet and greet. I'll be waiting for you!

Love and licks,
Sandie

If you'd like to adopt this dog, please get started by filling out a complete application (incomplete submissions cannot be sent.) Please note that while we take time to learn as much as we can about each dog in our care as possible, our bios are written from current observations. Though we do our best to share as much information as possible about each dog we care for, we are unable to make any guarantees on the future health or temperament of your adopted dog. Most dogs in our care come with unknown pre-rescue history, and information pertaining to breed and age are often educated guesses.
