My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lemon is a truly special 6 year old Purebred Golden Retriever. She was adopted from Golden Heart Breeders in North Carolina. Lemon is wonderfully behaved and great with children. She is reactive to other dogs outside the home, often snapping at dogs that get too close at the dog park. Despite that, she has done wonderfully with the other dog that we have in our home, Bean, an 11 year old Lab mix that we are also trying to rehome.

Unfortunate circumstances arose when I was divorced and traveled across the country from California to my home state very suddenly in 2020. Since then, we have been uncomfortably managing. I now have a 7mo infant, two full time jobs to keep food on the table, and virtually no help in a tiny apartment. Heartbreakingly, I can no longer afford to support them financially or timewise.

Lemon and Bean both deserve better than what I can give them...I know it is a mountainous request, but having both Bean and Lemon adopted together would mean the world to me.
