My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

04/04/24 09:49 Dog was very sweet when we impounded, yesterday. I was able to touch her all over and she enjoyed getting pet. As soon as she entered the kennels though, she became scared and starts growling & lifting up her lip . She is frozen and wont respond if you call her. Possible fear based behavior.
04/04/24 15:37 Her behavior is escalating. She is now lunging and snapping at you when you approach her.
04/04/24 12:30 Morning cleaning - I used the tongs to remove blanket from her kennel due to behavior notes. She lunged at the tongs & snapped at them.
04/07/24 13:03 Noticed she is not eating or passing any stool.
04/09/24 13:30 food bowl was still full from yesterday & no stool in kennel. Her kennel looks very clean/dry. Have noticed that she stays on one side of kennel & only gets up to rotate on the blanket.
04/10/24 07:12 I offered her some shredded chicken & she ate it after I left. When removing the empty bowl, she lunged at me.
04/10/24 11:46 dog is extremely fearful, Her bad behavior is stressed/fear related. Finally was able to bring her out, immediately she became happy, excited & friendly. Gentle on leash & seeks attention. Sweet girl ok for visits, her behavior should continue to improve in the kennel.
04/14/24 11:30 Noticed this morning when I came in that she had not touched her food from yesterday. I offered her some wet food which she ate. I was able to grab her bowl without her growling or lunging at me. I let her sniff the back of my hand & she seemed okay, was not as scared as before. She was still a little guarded but was wagging her tail when I called out to her
04/16/24 12:27 saw her looking at me excitedly. Looked like she wanted to be friends. I had a leash in my hand and offered to take her on a walk. She immediately came up, allowed me to leash her then stepped out of her kennel. This was followed by tons of kisses, hugs and cuddles. She greated everyone we walked by with the same enthusiasm. After the walk, took her to the play yard where all she wanted to do was cuddle. Did not want to leave my side or let me stop petting her. Returned to her kennel ignoring all the other dogs. Very sweet but insecure.
04/19/24 16:23 Took her out for a meet and greet, she did very well. She wanted lots of cuddles and gave lots of kisses to potential adopters. She was very energetic and wanted everyones attention. Very sweet girl. Had no trouble taking her back into her kennel afterwards.
