What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Miles was adopted 2 weeks ago before I received a medical diagnosis that will make it very difficult for me to be a proper parent and companion. Miles is said to be a Rat Terrier/Sheltie mix, about 1 year old, but has all the physical characteristics of a beautiful rat terrier. Miles previous owner says he lived in a household with another dog and child. Miles will be vaccinated this weekend. I plan on neutering but that has not yet been scheduled.
Miles is a people-lover who really likes contact, socializing, and lots of exercise. Miles is housebroken, sleeps or rests for most of, if not all night, but shows puppy behavior that leads me to believe that he is younger. He cries when left home, but travels extremely well. His small size makes him manageable on a leash even though he is still learning, and he already seems to know to go to the bathroom on walks.
Miles will need training before being off-leash to keep him safe, but will make someone a very happy companion.
