My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Craving something that will sweeten up your days? Fluffernutter is the sweet cat for you!

To make the purr-fect Fluffernutter, you will need a few ingredients: a dash of patience, a pinch of space, lots of playtime and a sprinkle of yummy treats! For the first few days in her foster home, she was overwhelmed by the change of scenery. But after giving her some time and space, Fluffernutter soon began to open up and wanted to play!

Playtime and treats are truly the way to Fluffernutter’s heart. Once she settles in, she will show you what a silly girl she can be! When she gets the zoomies, she’s extra adorable because she might even chase her own tail. She can be a bit clumsy, and she often falls on her rear while deeply focused on a play session. Fluffernutter is also a very curious cat, so she loves to follow her person around the home and sometimes lounges by their side on couch.

Fluffernutter is looking for a quiet home with a patient adopter who will give her all the time and space she needs to warm up to her new environment. Once she blossoms in your home, you’ll see that she is well worth the wait!

  • Adopters should use a slow approach and avoid forced interactions with Fluffernutter.
  • Fluffernutter is looking for a home with teenagers and up.
  • Fluffernutter needs a home with no dogs.
  • Fluffernutter previously lived with cats but it’s unknown if she enjoyed their company.
  • An Admissions and Placement Specialist can give you tips on how to set Fluffernutter up for success in your home!

More about this shelter

The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) was the first humane society to be established in North America and is, today, one of the largest in the world. Our organization was founded by Henry Bergh in 1866 on the belief that animals are entitled to kind and respectful treatment at the hands of humans, and must be protected under the law. Headquartered in New York City, the ASPCA maintains a strong local presence, and with programs that extend our anti-cruelty mission across the country, we are recognized as a national animal welfare organization. We are a privately funded 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation, and proud to boast more than 1 million supporters across the country.
