My name is Nyssa!

Volunteer Brooke Roberts took Nyssa on a Hiking Buddies adventure on 5-3-24. They had a great time and it was a nice break from the shelter for timid Nyssa. Brooke reported that Nyssa was nervous at first but found comfort in being close to her. She wagged her tail a lot since she was so happy to be outside and with someone she felt comfortable with. She is obviously not enjoying being in the shelter setting as many don't but she showed Brooke how she could come out of her shell and enjoy life in just being a normal dog on an adventure and getting attention and love. Brooke said overall Nyssa is very calm and sweet. She was treat motivated and will let you handle her and even pick her up with no problem.
