Biscuit is an 8 year old male, long haired dachshund. He is a celebrity graduate of our Paws Behind Bars prison dog training program where he captured the hearts of so many. He was rumored to be the Assistant Warden as he marched around like he owned the place. Despite his short stature, he was respected by all.
Biscuit is ready to "get out of jail", retire his warden status and live out his days in a comfortable home. A quiet, yet somewhat active adult home will be best. He is, after all, a dachshund. He's got the attitude. He gets along well with other dogs if they dont crowd his space. He does not get along with cats and he doesnt have the tolerance for children. An old episode made him leary of being picked up and snuggled.
He is in excellent health but he has his special needs. He must be on a fish based kibble and Apoquel during high allergy peaks helps with this skin. For all you dachshund lovers, this guy is quite the character.
If interested in adopting, our process begins with the submission of OUR online application which can be found at www.adoptmebluegrasspetrescue.com. Additional adoption FAQ's can be found there also.
Meets will be set with approved applicants only.
