My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My foster writes:
A sweet, young for her years dog that's perfectly house trained and friendly with dogs and people. If this looks like it was copied and pasted from your dream pup description, then Nancy is the girl for you! At 8.5 years old, Nancy understands and appreciates the finer things in life.....sleeping, snuggling, snacking, and snoring without shame. (Her snores deserve a Grammy!) She's a gentle giant who takes treats politely, thinks bath time is akin to a spa day (this queen luxuriates!), and loves saying "hello" to friends on walks. Nancy loves attention and will let you know what she wants it, but she's acing her lessons on self soothing and has no problems being left home alone. Nancy has arthritis in her legs (super manageable and doesn't impact her day to day one bit), so while she won't be your 8 minute mile marathon training buddy, she's a good leash walker who very much enjoys walks. This sweet girl currently lives with two feisty small dogs and happily disregards their bullying, so would do great in a home with other dogs and would likely thrive with a fur sibling who enjoys playing. Nancy is being fostered in Chelsea and is very much looking forward to showing off her award winning snoring to her future family!

There is an adorable video of me on ACC's TikTok page. Click here to experience the cuteness!

What my friends at ACC say about me:

My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!

I love getting pets and - you guessed it - snuggles!

I don't always like to share my food, toys or bedding with other animals.

I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.

I am playful and cute!

I will need daily physical activity to keep me healthy and happy!

A volunteer writes: Nancy is a mature lady with a big personality. She's not afraid to share her opinions on important things like treats and toys, and has been known to let out little barks or give some serious side-eye when she knows that you've got treats on you that she isn't getting...yet. She's a true diva, but also a lot of fun! While Nancy is jaunty and enthusiastic on walks (especially when there are treats involved -- sense a theme?), she's also happy to couch potato it up. If you're looking for a canine companion with enough sass to make you laugh, come on down and meet Nancy!
