having to look into rehoming my elkhound shepherd Eevee. She is very loved. goofy, and energetic. She does well with older kids, okay with cats and other dogs (she is definitely an alpha personality), but not with little kids. We have spent a lot of the last 6 months trying to train her to be better around my toddler. She gets let outside a lot with our other dog and she is a vocal breed like most elkhound shepherds.
She is crate trained, leash trained, food motivated. Once she’s bonded to you, she will love to listen to you. She also loves belly rubs and walks. She needs a fenced yard and someone with the time and want to care for her.
This choice is not an easy one so we want to know her next home will be her forever home with someone that loves and cares about her. You will also want to read up on Elkhound Shepherds if you are not familiar with the breed. She’s vocal and would do great with enrichment activities and exercise.
