My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you looking for a devoted companion that sees you as their everything? Meet Muneca! Sweet, loving, and loyal, Muneca will shower you with her affection and devotion. While she is quite shy and timid at first, with love and patience she will blossom into an amazing best friend. I always say that the shy dogs are the most loving, and most rewarding, because it’s true!

Muneca is incredibly sweet with everyone she meets, from kids, to other dogs. She’s very submissive both with humans and with dogs, making her very tolerant and accommodating. She has a beautiful grey/blue coat and the most adoring eyes. Her background is a mystery, but we think she’s about 2 years old, 50 lbs, and she may be a Blue Lacy mix.

While she does great with most dogs, she would probably do best with a confident doggy friend who can help her build her confidence. She currently lives with 5 other dogs. 3 of the dogs are older and she respects their space, but she really enjoys playing with the 2 younger dogs. In her assessment video she wasn't very playful, but that's just because it's a new environment with all new dogs and people. Once she settles in, she loves to play!

She wasn’t interested in the cat at her cat test, but she was pretty shut down and it likely wasn’t a good representation of her true feelings toward cats. For this reason we have marked her as not cat-friendly, but we can test again if needed.

This cutie is crate trained and potty trained. She has very little leash training and will need continued training to improve that. She hasn’t mastered any commands yet, but she listens well and is very eager to please, so she is willing to learn.

We don’t know this incredible girl’s past, but we do know that she came to us as a momma and she has been a wonderful mom to those puppies. She is incredibly resilient and is building up trust and confidence in a loving foster home, along with her little babies.

The ideal home for Muneca will be with a patient and loving family who can work on building her trust and confidence. She will need a securely fenced yard because she wants to escape when she is scared. This should decrease over time as she gets more comfortable in her home.

With her sweet and adoring demeanor, she is sure to bring you lots of joy and happiness. Don’t miss out on this precious girl!

Currently fostered in Texas, she is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to travel to her forever home in the PNW or NE areas.

*WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health.
*To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs.

The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program, prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be!

Three Little Pitties Rescue just celebrated our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 11,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes.
