This is Vernon, a sweet, 4 year old neutered male tabby. Poor guy had a loving home until his owner passed away. After they passed on, the family came in like some Disney villains to clear out the house, and threw Vernon away with the trash. The neighbors tried to care for him outside, and eventually called the shelter. We don't know his real name, so we named him after the street near where he was found. It's clear poor Vernon has seen some rough times, but we are devoted to giving him a brighter tomorrow. He gets along well with other cats and doesn't have a mean bone in his body, he is just such a loving purring boy. He is litter box trained and will make a great family companion! Indoor homes ONLY please!! We do out of state adoption, but do not transport!!
