My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is a story of a spunky young Rhinelander rabbit named Chickadee . He was hatched 6 months ago, is an eight-pound bundle of charm with his beautiful darkest brown eyes and soft rex fur, long ears and black and white spots. This dashing young fellow‘s story starts out with his humble beginnings. He was born to a young single mom in a large rabbit family with many siblings and was pushed put of the nest at a young age to make it on his own in the world with the help of his foster family. What sets Chickadee apart from the other bunnies is his grand dream - he aspires to become a pet model, actor and influencer! He also wants to find a human family to adopt him who can help him on his journey to become the rabbit he wants to be! Chickadee loves watching "Our Flag Means Death," his favorite TV show, where he imagines himself, sailing the high seas with the quirky pirate crew. Chickadee is a method actor who exhibits athletic leaps, hippty hops and dramatic flops in a theatrical manner. After flopping, he often poses while lounging on the floor, looking up at you with his expressive eyes, showing you ready for the camera's click while proudly declaring "I'm festively plump” and “Polite Menace, That'll Be My Brand, Every Legendary Pirate Needs One!” Beneath his charismatic exterior, Chickadee is a shy young man, very gentle and polite. He neatly uses his litter box. He loves to eat Timothy hay, leafy greens like spring lettuce, arugula and parsley. He can’t resist the occasional treat of banana chips and meadow loops. Around people, Chickadee is initially reserved, he is still learning that humans are kind and will not scare him. He will thrive in a home and warm up to bonding with his humans if they are sitting on the floor with him. He doesn’t mind being held (while you are sitting down) for ten minutes at a time and will sit with/near you. Chickadee dreams of being adopted to a forever home with a family of older children who will not grab at him or scare him. He is sensitive to noises and hands reaching towards his face. He has met an older dog who loves to sleep all day and birds at his pet sitter’s home. He requires an bunny proofed free roaming area and an x-pen to live in that must be a minimum of 40 inches tall, as he can make some BIG leaps and hops. He loves hiding inside cardboard boxes and needs a lot of bunny chewing options to keep him out of getting into trouble with the baseboards, cords and carpet. If you feel you have what it takes to give this boy his dream bun life, hop on over to the Rabbit Advocates website to find out more about the adoption process, https://rabbitadvocates.org/adoption

Additional adoption info

Rabbit Advocates is committed to rescuing homeless and abandoned domestic rabbits, and helping them find excellent forever homes. Because these rabbits live with foster providers as members of the family, foster providers can offer helpful information about the rabbit’s personality, favorite foods, housing needs, bunny-proofing tips, and any other questions applicants may have. All Rabbit Advocates bunnies are spayed/neutered prior to adoption.
