Meet Patches, an 8-month-old pup who’s made a comeback and is now thriving! Weighing in at a healthy 40 pounds, Patches is a loving soul who has a passion for life and an abundance of love to give.

Patches is a social butterfly who adores playing with other dogs and is perfectly polite with feline friends too! Whether it's chasing tails in the yard or cozying up with kitties at home, he fits right into any pack.

After being found in an emaciated state, Patches has made a remarkable recovery. Now, he’s in great health, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all his vaccines. This brave boy is more than ready to start the next chapter of his life in a loving forever home.

Some of Patches' favorite activities include rolling in the grass and indulging in endless belly rubs. He even enjoys bath time, making him the perfect companion for all of life's adventures, both messy and majestic.

Peace Love and Paws Rescue is an all-volunteer, non-profit, animal welfare organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of stray, neglected and abused animals. Peace Love and Paws Rescue is completely funded through fundraising efforts and public donations. All of our pets are cared for by foster homes and receive complete medical care, which includes worming, vaccinations, spaying/neutering and microchipping prior to their adoption.

This questionnaire is designed to help Peace Love and Paws Rescue determine if a specific dog is the right match for you and your household. All adopting and fostering parties are required to complete this form prior to adoption. Peace Love and Paws Rescue reserves the right to deny any adoption or fostering based on answers to this questionnaire and/or interviews prior to adoptions and placing foster homes!

More about this rescue

We are three passionate, animal loving dog moms who met through various volunteer efforts at local rescues in the Detroit area. We continued talking outside of volunteering and quickly came to realize that we all had similar goals, to help as many animals in need that we possibly could. In the Detroit area, there are so many animals who need homes, medical attention, and love.

We decided that we wanted to be able to do more to help these animals. We are raising funds through selling merchandise, fundraising, donations, and supporting local community events. All funds raised will be used to establish a nonprofit status, fund the medical needs of local dogs, and find shelter animals their furever home.
