My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hola! My name is Blossom! I arrived from Tijuana, Mexico at the end of March.  I am estimated to be a Chihuahua mix, about 2 years old and 8 pounds.  I had a rough life in Mexico and was found malnourished, with mange and a tick borne disease.  I've recovered well and am doing great now.  Considering all I've been through, I am the sweetest and silliest girl.  I get along with people and the three small dogs in my foster home.  I am playful, but take social cues to settle down from other dogs well and am learning to use toys.  I do great in my crate at night and while my foster family is away.  I'm quiet in there and haven't had an accident nor do I destroy any beds or toys. I ride well in the car in my kennel too. I'm doing well at going potty outside in my fenced in yard and am working on my leash walking skills.  When unsupervised in the house I still tinkle occasionally.  My foster family doesn't have any cats or kids, so not sure if I like those yet.  I am pretty excitable and am working on learning how to be calm and obedient.  I'm starting to figure out what sit, down and stay means, but spin and dance are more fun!  I'm also learning that I don't need to bark to alert you to every sound and thing I see outside. With a patient teacher and supportive family, I can learn to be the best buddy ever!  Ready to be my adventure buddy?!
