This girl is 26 pounds of energy and love. She had to be captured by the local animal control officer and was prettified. She was lunging and growling and very upset. But something in her eye just pleaded for me to help her. So I picked her up from the shelter and brought her home where George (our cat) helped me show her that humans and other animals are good. George helped her calm down and let her guard down and after about an hour she was giving me lots of kisses. She is hilarious and is definitely a lover. She may need a couple of minutes to feel safe, but once she does, she is glued to you. She is extremely smart, loves to go for rides, walks and hikes or any adventure (we went kayaking) She prefers not to be left alone as she does have some separation anxiety. We are a group of volunteers in West TN dedicated to saving the abused, abandoned and unwanted pets in the south We do this by fostering them in our homes while we fully vet them and post them so they can find their forever homes. Most of our adopters are in the northeast because they don’t have the massive overpopulation problem we have here in the south. We are also dedicated to reducing the numbers of pets that are being euthanized each year by educating and promoting low cost spay/neuter options.
