Sophie has been with us since she was a kitten. She is now a spry 14-year-old. Sophie is very independent and entertains herself most of the time (she gets bored with toys but does like to chase the laser from time to time). Sophie greets me at the door every time I come home from work. While it's probably because she knows she'll be fed, it's also because she misses both me and my husband when we're not there. Sophie likes to sleep in the crook of my back when we go to bed, but she'll only stay there until she's bored and wants to do something else.
Sophie is not declawed, so her new owners will need to know how to cut a cat's front claws, especially because Sophie can reach out as I or my husband pass by her and a claw can embed in a shirt or skin. It's with affection she's doing that, not aggression, but I want to be sure the adopter knows of that habit once she gets to know you.
She has no problems with her cat box and never goes outside of it. Change litter once a week.
