Hooch gets along well with his three foster (dog) siblings and loves his two foster (human) siblings almost as much. He is a big, strong boy who can be a bull in a china shop, so a home with older kids and dogs that are roughly his size would be best. Hooch is very athletic and can easily jump a 4ft fence. Due to this, he will require a fenced backyard, or vigilant monitoring when spending time in one. Because Hooch is of hound lineage, he has a booming bark and is untrustworthy off leash as he'll follow his nose anywhere. Hooch LOVES long walks, and would happily do more than one per day! He also loves bones, chew toys, toys that squeak, and stalking his foster family's chickens through their fence. He is currently working on obedience, leash work, and has begun learning some novice canine fitness. He absolutely loves to learn and is very fun to work with. His future family would be wise to continue this work, as the structure and relationship building will go a long way towards a happy and fulfilled dog.

We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!)

If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. Meet the Pet
The hold ensures you get to meet & make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Holds expire at 11am at our Saturday adoption event.

Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals.

Sign Adoption Contract
The animal's medical records will also be released at this time. A one-week trial period is included with all our adoptions.

Pay Fee
This includes up-to-date vaccinations, spay/neuter, 4DX testing (for dogs), FeLV/FIV (for cats), and microchip.
