My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Stella gave birth to her pups in the midst of a wild fire and then was brought to safety by good Samaritans. Two of her pups survived and she has been a terrific mother, but now it’s time for this heroic girl to be cuddled and cared for and get the lucky break she deserves. Stella is a pit mix and about 2 years old, loves people, is dog selective and not sure yet about cats. She is housebroken and loves to be cuddled.

People must come in for personal interview and complete adoption form. If renting, written permission from landlord is required. Adoption fee is $225. We require animals be returned to our facility if adoption does not work out. We require a signed agreement never to chain or crate an animal (crate exception for transport only). We DO NOT support crating! We follow up with phone call or home visit within first month. Adoptions are by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, call 231-944-6520. You must be 21 years or older to adopt.
