Hello, I'm Ashley! I'm a happy, chatty girl with a bubbly personality. I can be very snuggly when I'm in the mood, and happily purr and flop to the floor. When I'm not asking for your attention, I'm chasing after wand toys, crinkle balls, and catnip mice. I also enjoy climbing cat trees, watching the birds and soaking up the sun. I lived with older children in my last home, as well as another cat, and enjoyed spending time with them.
This cat previously tested positive for Feline Leukemia Virus on 10/13/2021. On 4/9/24, this cat was tested for FeLV using an in-house Idexx snap test, and was below detectable limits. This test result does not indicate that the cat is not infected with FeLV, as regressively infected cats can have a below detectable limits test and still be infected. This cat can be housed with other cats that have tested positive for FeLV, but should not be housed with cats that have tested negative. The shelter recommends that the adopter follow up with their veterinarian to more accurately determine the cat's retroviral status, if recommended by their veterinarian.

Welcome to CMHS! In continuous operation since 1943, the Central Missouri Humane Society promotes the well-being of companion animals – pets that enrich the lives of the people who love them.
The Columbia Humane Society was formed in 1943 to provide shelter and care for Columbia’s abandoned animals. Originating in a little structure on Creasy Springs Road, the organization has grown into today’s Central Missouri Humane Society, a regional animal welfare agency caring for thousands of animals annually and providing veterinary services for low-income pet owners.
