My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Fostered in Hillsboro, OR and ready for meet and greets!**

With her uniquely stunning features and sweet, affectionate personality, Molly is an extraordinary companion. She can live with dogs, cats, and kids with ease, making her the perfect pet for just about any family. At 1 year old, and only 40 lbs, she's the perfect medium size for couch cuddling!

Incredibly affectionate, loving, and loyal, Molly loves her trusted humans with her whole being. She enthusiastically wags her tail the moment you return home, and loves to cuddle up with you any chance she gets. She will give you plenty of kisses and help lift your mood whenever you are down. Her recent DNA test reveals that she is a unique mixture of multiple breeds including German Shepherd, Pitbull, and even some Rottweiler.

Molly is extremely dog-friendly and will do well with all sizes and temperaments. In fact, she will need to go to a home with another dog, to help her feel more comfortable and confident. She is excellent at reading doggy body language and will respect the space of an older dog. She previously lived with a senior chihuahua who didn't like to interact, and she was great at respecting her. She is currently fostered with an alpha male, a playful female, and a calm female, and was able to integrate with them all very quickly.

She has lived with cats more than once, so we know she is cat-friendly as well. She is a bit interested in playing with the cat, so she would need a dog savvy cat if she lives with one. She currently lives with 4-year-old and 14-year-old kids and she loves them both. She doesn't jump on the little one or pester him, and she loves giving lots of kisses.

After her owner tragically and suddenly passed away, Molly spent a month in board-and-train so she could learn all the foundational skills. She knows "sit," "down," "come," "leave it," and she can be lured. She is crate trained and potty trained. As an added bonus, her adoption will include a few in-person or virtual training sessions with her trainer!

Molly is a little insecure when meeting new people, and will sometimes bark. However, we have some great tools to make new intros go smooth. In just 15 minutes she will warm up and be your new best friend. While on walks, she is easily redirected and distracted. Speaking of walks, she's pretty easy on the leash too. She would make an excellent hiking partner!

My personal belief is that shy dogs are the sweetest, most loving pups, and that is no exception with Molly. While she may take a moment to warm up, her unwavering loyalty and devotion to you cannot be matched. She is a silly girl too, who loves to play. She will surely keep you laughing with her silly antics.

Molly is an incredible companion, just waiting for you to choose her. If you are patient, loving, have a fenced yard, and another dog for her to play with and learn from, then she may be the girl for you! Click apply so we can set up a meet and greet!

*To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs.

The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is one of the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone! Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no choice but to euthanize animals for space. We prepare them for adoption by properly vetting and providing individualized care through our incredible behavior program that consists of socialization and leash training for all animals that enter our adoption program, prior to matching them with loving families who will treasure them for the rest of their lives. They are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts once adopted, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be!

Three Little Pitties Rescue just celebrated our 5 year anniversary! Over the course of this time, we have been very fortunate for so much growth, allowing us to further connect with the community and save many lives. Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 11,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be brought into our rescue program. Together, we can be heroes.
