My name is Belle!

Belle showed up to my father's house in Sulphur LA on the evening of March 13, 2024. He reached out to me for help due to her being severely injured. Despite her injury (shown in photos) she was never aggressive towards him. He made an attempt to clean her wounds but the next morning he knew she needed extensive care. He brought her to the local vet on March 14, 2024, and that is where she has been since. We have called and checked on her daily and kept up with her progress. The vet believes she was hit by a car with a damaged bumper. The injury caused her to get a severe infection of gangrene and they felt it was necessary to keep her. The staff has cleaned her wound and changed her bandages daily and they are now confident that she is out of the woods and can go home. My father is on limited income and is not home most of the time, leaving him no time or money to properly care for any animals. I have 4 dogs of my own and cannot take in anymore. Breed is unknown.
