What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Caspian is a fixed male 10 yr old cattle dog mix. He is up to date on all vaccines, and has no health issues.
Like most heelers, Caspian is a shadow dog, becoming intensely devoted to his human companion, and is often wary of strangers. He would happily become someone’s next running or hiking companion, and is energetic, loyal, and intelligent. He has only just started slowing from miles long hikes. He will exhaust himself with fetch or frisbee.
He is well trained, and not destructive; he will only chew on toys or balls he has been given. He is house broken, having been an indoor dog his whole life. Caspian would do very well in a home with a medium/larger submissive dog companion. He is indifferent to cats, however he could be prone to herd. Caspian is looking for his next chapter with someone who has the time to devote to his energy, a firm and kind attitude, and has a good understanding of the patience it takes to bond with a stubborn heeler. He will be a faithful companion.
