My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Herbie, the striking 2-year-old black beauty with a story of resilience and charm! This beautiful mini panther arrived at the shelter as a stray, but don't let his initial shyness fool you. Once he settles into his new home, Herbie should transform into a cuddly and content companion, ready to shower you with affection. While he may need a little time to adjust, Herbie quickly warms up, revealing his joyful and loving nature. He relishes having a snuggly cat cubby where he can retreat for some well-deserved "me" time. If you're searching for a loyal and affectionate friend to share cozy moments with, Herbie is the perfect match for you!

Herbie is prepared to join his forever family today! He's been neutered, vaccinated, treated for fleas and parasites, and microchipped, ensuring he's ready for a loving home. Could that home be yours? If you'd like to welcome Herbie into your family, please complete an adoption application to schedule an appointment: https://westvalleyhumanesociety.org/adoptionapp/. Remember, the shelter operates by appointment only.

More about this shelter

West Valley Humane Society is an open-admission animal shelter in Southern Idaho. Serving all of Canyon County, and surrounding areas. We take in the stray, surrendered, abandoned, neglected animals in our community. In 2017, we took in 7,778 animals. We believe that every animal deserves a second chance.

We contract with the cities of Nampa, Caldwell and Canyon County to house stray and owner surrender animals that their ACO's, or the general public, bring to us.
