My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Woof, woof! Hey there, I'm Lucy Lou, the one-of-a-kind wonder pup ready to charm your socks off! I am a Great Pyrenees mix (with maybe a sprinkle of Labrador Retriever or Anatolian Shepherd, but shh, that's a mystery!). I'm a youthful 1.5-year-old gal with a heart as big as my fluffy coat. So, why am I hanging out with my foster family? Well, I've got this talent for wandering off if there is nothing like a fence to keep me contained. My previous humans were worried I might end up getting in trouble with the neighbors, so they thought it best to find me a place where I can explore safely.

Ready for the 411 on my energy and personality! 🐾Let's start with car rides. I settle in like a champ, but after 40 minutes on my first ride with my foster mom, I got a bit queasy....and may have left a... let's say 'Lucy Lu special' in the car. Don't worry, though; I'm working on my car ride coolness! Now, onto my energy level. I'm not quite bouncing-off-the-walls crazy like an Aussie on a caffeine high, but I do love a good zoomie session! On a scale from 'snooze' to 'zookeeper chasing a loose monkey,' I'm a solid six - just enough pep to keep things interesting! I'm all about walks and hikes—count me in for some outdoor escapades! And hey, when it's downtime, I'm happy to snuggle up with a toy or just lounge around like a pro. Oh, and I've got a secret talent: I'm a water enthusiast! I love splashing around on the pool cover like it's my own personal water park. So, if you're looking for a hilarious, slightly dramatic, and adventure-ready companion, I'm your girl.

Time to dive into my social skills and how I roll with different furry and human friends! 🐾 When it comes to other dogs, I'm like the ultimate party planner. Playful? Check. Respectful of boundaries? Double check. And if my playtime requests get ignored, well, let's just say I'm not shy about voicing my opinions. Cue the dramatic puppy monologue! 😂As for needing another dog in my new home, it's like having an extra scoop of ice cream—it's not mandatory, but it sure makes everything sweeter! Kids? Oh, they're my pint-sized besties. I'm like the cool aunt who's always down for fun but knows when to dial it back. And guess what? No jumping up on them—I save that move for the dance floor! 🕺 I have to admit, I'm a bit of a cat aficionado. Their stealthy moves and whisker-twitching antics never fail to entertain me. Now, if a cat suddenly decided to sprint away, would I join the Olympic chase or just stare in bewilderment? It's a tough call, even for a savvy pup like me! I might consider a game of 'Catch me if you can,' or perhaps I'd just stand there with my tail wagging, wondering if they're auditioning for a sprinting contest. Meeting new people? I've got my own little protocol. No eye contact at first, let me initiate the introductions. t's like my version of 'Let's take it slow and steady.' And guess what? I'm a non-jumper! All my greetings are ground-level, because who needs high-fives when you've got low-fours, am I right?

Now to chat about my house manners 🏠 First off, let's address the elephant in the room—or should I say, the barking dog? I like to keep everyone in the loop about the happenings around here. My barkiest moments? Well, let's just say I'm a professional 'playtime promoter' when I'm trying to recruit my furry friends for some fun.
I've got a big bark that can rival a security system, especially when I'm on 'alert mode.' This probably wouldn't make me an ideal apartment candidate. But don't worry, with a bit of time and settling in, I'd probably dial it down from 'Great Pyrenees alert mode' to 'casual observer.' Now, onto the serious stuff—house training. I'm proud to say I'm a potty pro. No indoor accidents on my record! As for crate training, well, let's just say I'm more of a 'let's hang out where the action is' kind of pup. Who needs a crate when there are comfy couches and warm laps to snuggle in? Chewing on non-toy items? Nope, not my style. I've got a keen eye for what's mine and what's off-limits. And when it comes to free roam of the house, I've earned my stripes! Just a gentle 'no' when I get a little too close to sniffing out the goodies in the trash and I'm onto my next adventure, whether it's chasing squirrels in the yard or hunting down that elusive squeaky toy.

So, if you want a furry friend who's got bark, brains, and a whole lot of charm, I'm your girl. Let's make every day a tail-wagging, adventure-packed party! 🐾🎉"
