Meet Obbie, a small gentle soul with a mellow spirit. He is roughly 4 years old, 15 pounds and maybe some sort of Chiweenie - Pinscher mix. Whatever his breed, his calm demeanor is a soothing presence, making him the perfect companion for a peaceful household. Obbie's mild-mannered and easy-going nature is a testament to his adaptability. He's quiet at home, crate trained, and house trained too! Obbie is friendly and loves everyone he meets. He gets along well with other dogs, but his favorite spot is curled up on his person's lap. He loves his people and is always open to cuddles and getting lots of love. Obbie is the kind of dog who would be your best friend, always by your side, always ready to lend a comforting snuggle session. His sweet nature makes him a joy to be around. Adopt Obbie and let his gentle, loving spirit fill your home with warmth and joy.

Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. ALL CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200. Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
