My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lulu with her sleek brown and white fur is the calm and composed member of the group. She enjoys relaxing in her cozy hideout and is a great listener for her bonded sisters. She can often be seen peeking her head out to say hello and then getting shy again, we love her!

Despite their different fur colors Blackie and Lulu are the perfect match. They share a strong bond and can often be seen cuddled up together enjoying each other's company. This duo can be adopted with a large cage provided by our shelter for you to keep! They are hanging out in our front lobby, come to meet them or fill an application for them now..

More about this shelter

In 1987, an initial attempt was made to organize a local humane society in Caroline County. While this attempt did not succeed, those same dedicated volunteers were not deterred.

From our humble beginnings 30 years ago, to where we are today, we are proud to be called “the little shelter that could”.

We provide service to our community through pet adoption, Rabies Clinics, Trap-Neuter-Return, Pet Pantry, Pet Lost & Found, Re-homing, Intake Diversion, Cremation
