Are you looking for a tough guy? A brawny, burly boy? A guy who's built like a linebacker and could be mistaken for a bulldog? That's me! My name is Kody and I'm 5 years old. I've been in foster care recovering from entropion surgery on my eyelids (my eyes are purrfectly fine now and don't require any special care) and working on my social skills. I may seem a little rough around the edges because I don't show a lot of affection (I have an image to maintain!) but I secretly enjoy getting attention. I like to keep tabs on my foster mom because you just never know when she might have food. I enjoy petting but I will pretend to walk away and then wait for her to pet me. I even let her kiss my head now! I also enjoy playing with my toys and lounging on my scratcher. I'm FIV+ but that's no big deal. I hang out with the resident cats in my foster home and I'm just one of the guys. At night we all sleep on the bed together. I've been learning cat etiquette and I think I'm doing pretty well! I am also very food motivated and learning to give a paw in exchange for a treat. My foster mom tells me I'm such a smart boy! She's right, of course. I have worked very hard on my people skills but I will still need a very special family with no small children: one that will be patient with me while I adjust; one that will understand me and love me for who I am and respect my boundaries while I continue working to expand them; one that will love and cherish me the rest of my life. Since I've tested FIV positive, my adoption fee has been paid by Friends of the Burlington County Animal Shelter.
