Alright community say hello to Kit Kat! Kit Kat is a handsome 2.5-year-old 11 lb domestic shorthair with striking black and white markings. He does have some hair loss due to flea allergies but is under treatment by our amazing veterinary team and his recovery is going swimmily! What a resilient little super star! This semi furless wonder kin is keen to find his new Furever home and is adoption ready! What makes him special? Well, let us tell ya because this boy has an impressive resume! His prior home reported that he's smart, playful, a good communicator, and adoringly affectionate. His favorite things include being a lap kitty and exploring his surrounding, as well as perching up high on his cat tree. He's lived with dogs prior to coming to the shelter and has had great social interactions with humans in his life including babies and children. impressive, no?! Help this sweet little gent come into his adoption era and watch him flourish given a second chance. Afterall everybody loves a good shelter story. So lets help Kit write his!
Our cat adoption fee is $70.They come spayed/neutered and microchipped. They receive the FVRCP (feline distemper combo) vaccine, strongid (dewormer), and their current monthly flea treatment. Our website updates every hour, but some animals may be adopted faster than we can get them updated online. If you'd like to check on the status of an animal, please call us at 360-352-2510. Our adoptions are first come first serve. Adoption hours are Tue-Fri 9:30 to 5:00 and Saturday 9:30 to 3:30.

Applications are available at the Shelter after you visit the animal and decide that you're the right fit for each other.

Staff will review your application. If you don't own your home, we will need to call and talk to the landlord/property owner.

How much does it cost?
Cats are $70 and dogs are $90, no matter the age, breed, or sex of the animal.

How do I adopt a pet?
Once you visit the shelter and select your pet, you will be asked to complete an adoption application. The application will include information about how you plan to care for your new friend, where he or she will live, what your expectations of the pet's behavior may be and whether pets already in your home are legally licensed.
If you do not own your home, we will need to contact the legal property owner to verify that you may have the pet you are interested in.
Certain animals will have specific adoption requirements in addition to the general requirements. These can include a fence check, no small kids, etc.
If your application is approved, you will be asked to complete several other forms including an adoption contract. This process takes approximately 30 minutes.
The pet you select will remain at the shelter for transport to the veterinarian for its spay/neuter surgery.
