My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Senior by age but sassy by nature, this dynamic duo is ready for their best chapter yet! Sure to steal your heart (and probably your bed), Angel and Dixie are ready to live their best life - poolside of course! Angel prefers her margaritas frozen while Dixie’s more of a Mai Tai kinda gal… Just don’t forget the mini umbrellas, please!

And all dachshund lovers know that the only thing better than one dachshund… is TWO! Angel and Dixie are a bonded pair that will need to be adopted together. Twice the love and twice the kisses - what more could you ask for?!

• 10 years old
• 25 lbs.
• Good with cats, dogs, and kids!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

OUR ADOPTION PROCESS HAS CHANGED DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS.

The first step is to fill out an online application. Only after an application is accepted will we make an appointment for you and your family to come meet the animal(s) you are interested in adoption.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

We are open from 7-9am and 4-6pm, seven days a week. The Annex only houses dogs, but our volunteers do have cats in foster. Due to Covid restrictions, visitors to the shelter to meet the pets are by appointment only with a pre-approved application.

More about this shelter

Fulton County Regional SPCA is a volunteer-run, donation-funded, not-for-profit organization founded as Regional Animal Shelter in 2002. The doors of our Annex opened in May of 2012. We re-incorporated as an Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in 2019.

Our mission is to engage the hearts, hands, and minds of the community to help animals. We provide immediate shelter and care for any homeless or abused animals and either reunite these animals with their owners or find them new, loving homes. We will actively promote animal and owner education, training, and public awareness to improve the lives of the animals in our community and beyond.e.
