My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tyson is the sweetest senior dog the adoption center has to offer! This 10 year old boy is looking for a good home to live out his golden years with excellent treats and the best couches to nap on. Tyson is also a total heartthrob, easily nabbing the title of most handsome dog in the adoption center, just look at those eyes! That's two different records that Mr. Tyson is currently holding. He does well with other dogs, loves to be pet, and is great on walks. This guy can do it all! Even though he's 10 years old, he's still spry as can be and will easily keep up with you on a nice hike or evening stroll. If you want to meet Tyson, come to AHS today!

More about this shelter

Asheville Humane Society is about hope, not heartache. As Buncombe County’s critical safety net since 1984, we are always here to save and protect every animal. We have mastered the art of saving lives within our walls and now we are going even further, helping our community’s pets and their people thrive together. We are going beyond a no-kill community to ensure that each animal has the quality of life they deserve – a life worth living.
