Meet Alex
I am Alex, a boy and my birthday is February 23rd.
His mom is a petite young Heeler mix who was dumped. She was pregnant and in danger of getting hit on the highway.
One of our rescue partners managed to trap her after a few attempts and just one day after she gave birth.

Alex, sweet and very playful, can come home on our transport from Texas to NJ, arriving May 11th
Will be vaccinated as per his age, microchipped.

We will contact your references and vet. Then a Virtual Home Visit (video call) is conducted.

3.
Approve Application

If approved, a Meet and Greet is scheduled or transport pickup is confirmed.

4.
Take the Pet Home

Adopter gets a new "Friend for Life" and a pup has been saved.

We strive to find the best fit for both adopter and dog.
Most of our dogs are in foster within the PA, NJ, NY area. Others arrive on transport from shelters in Texas and Tennessee.

Friends for Life Animal Rescue is a non-profit, 501(c)3, foster based, volunteer run rescue with foster homes in the Tri-state (PA, NJ, NY) area.

Our focus is to save the lives of dogs and puppies in high-kill shelters in the south and local owner surrenders.

Our mission is to place unwanted and in-danger animals in homes, no matter age or breed. To educate the public, help stop animal cruelty and neglect.

*If a dog is listed on Adopt a Pet they are still available and we are accepting applications. We approve applications on best fit for both dog and family.
*We take our best guess on breed and size when fully grown.
* Our dogs are adopted from their foster home or straight from transport from kill shelters in the south.
*We always need foster homes so we can continue to save dogs. Please contact us if interested in fostering.
