My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**COURTESY POST**

This adorable dog is Kuma which means "bear" in Japanese. A name that fits him perfectly, dont you think? Kuma is an approximately 10 yr old, 13lb Newfoundland, Pekingese, Spaniel mix who has the cutest underbite ever! Kuma was found as a stray on the streets. He was not microchipped and he went on a stray hold while they the finder tried to locate his owner, but sadly, nobody stepped up to claim him. Kuma came with ear infections, flea infested, and skin allergies (prob due to the fleas) and was treated by the vet. He had to be shaved down because he was so overly matted that it caused discomfort, but it's ok because fur grows back. When it does, he will look just like a little grizzly bear. Kuma is absolute perfection! We brought him to our most recent adoption event and he was so calm and so mellow. Big dogs and small dogs passed him by, sniffed him, and some barked, and he still showed no negative reactions. Kuma could be your one and only dog in the home as he loves people more than anything! He could also be in a home with another calm dog. Kuma led a very harsh life as we could see right away from the condition he came in, so we are looking for a home that will nurture him with good food, regular grooming, and lots of love! The person who found him had him examined and vaccinated, but we suggest that the potential adopter gets him a full/thorough senior exam including a senior blood panel. This will keep him on a good plan for a healthy and long life.
