Hi! My name is Duke, and I'm an 80-pound lab mix with boundless energy and a heart full of love. I was surrendered to the shelter when my previous family could no longer care for me. Adjusting to the shelter has been a bit hard for me because I'm lonely and I just want to be around people. The nice folks at the shelter play fetch with me and take me for long walks, but it's not the same as being in a home. I'm about 5 years old and I know my manners pretty well. I'm also potty trained so you won't have to deal with puppy shenanigans with an older guy like me. For the most part I'm just content being with my person and I don't seem to mind other dogs either. I will make a great addition to any family who is willing to take the time and patience for me to adjust to a new routine in a new home. Apply to visit me!
NOTE: every dog, cat and child will react differently to a new pet, so proper and safe introductions are always important for a smooth and successful transition.
Adoption fee is $225.
We do not have open hours for public viewing of our adoptable animals. We are by appointment only.
If interested in adopting, please complete our adoption application. Once your application is approved, an appointment will be scheduled to visit with your desired pet.
ONLINE APPLICATION can be found at: www.marshfieldpetshelter.org/adoption-application
All animals are vet examined, spayed/neutered, blood tested and microchipped. If old enough, they receive routine vaccinations.
Thank you!
