My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, friends! I'm Dollie Madison. I'm a 3-4 year old, 65 pound, short and stumpy Pit Bull terrier mix. Beneath my fit exterior, I'm a big marshmallow, soft and sweet! Foster mama says I am the best girl and a wonderful ambassador for my breed.

I love to be loved and cuddling is my favorite hobby. I prefer to be near you and may rest my big head on your lap while I nap (and snore). I will give you kisses and sometimes love nibbles too, and foster mama is teaching me the word “gentle” to make sure I’m always careful with this. I just have so much love to share!

I'm not high energy, but I get excited when we first wake up or when you come home. I sometimes jump when excited so I have been learning “off” and doing great with that. I already know “sit” too!

I enjoy the company of other mellow, well balanced, and well behaved dogs, but I do not vibe with dogs who are anxious, loud, or unbalanced. I haven't met a cat yet, so I'm not sure if I could live with one. I do not like other animals around my food or toys, but foster mama finds this easy to manage by feeding me separately and not leaving toys or bones laying around.

Walking on a leash is fun and I only pull when I'm excited. Crates are okay, but I'm not mischievous when left out and don’t really need one. I'm house trained and currently get a potty break every few hours. I sleep through the night without a peep (except for snoring).

My ideal home would not have young children. I love them, but I’m still working on some of my manners as mentioned above. I could probably live with one other doggy friend if they were mellow and easy going like me, or I’m fine as an only pet too (more love for me!).

Foster mama says whoever adopts me will be so lucky because I’m so special! There will be laughter and unconditional love every single day!

Additional adoption info

The first step in adopting or meeting any of our dogs is to fill out an adoption application on https://angelsrescue.org/
Your application will be assigned to a volunteer on our adoption team who will contact you to discuss it. Please allow us at least 3 business days to contact you. We require a meet and greet with your current dogs (if applicable) and all family members (if possible) and a home check. Please note: Puppies under 4 months are not currently available for adoption outside the state of Georgia.
