My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dexter, the bundle of love wrapped in fur! With a personality as vibrant as his namesake from "Dexter's Laboratory," this charming kitty is always on the move, ready to spread joy and warmth to everyone he meets. Dexter's idea of a perfect day involves dashing around the house like a furry comet, leaving a trail of smiles in his wake. Whether he's practicing his ninja moves on unsuspecting shoelaces or staging a daring rescue mission for his favorite toy mouse from under the couch, Dexter's escapades are guaranteed to leave you in stitches. If you're looking for a furry friend to brighten your days and fill your heart with love, Dexter is the purr-fect choice!

Go meet their pets

We’re so excited that you’re considering adopting from Nashville Humane Association. We’re located at 213 Oceola Ave in West Nashville, near the intersection of White Bridge Road and Charlotte Pike, and are open from 10AM until 5PM TUE through SUN (closed Mondays). We’re also closed every TUE-THUR from 12-1PM for “Quiet Hour.” As a quick heads up, our adoption process takes about an hour, and all adoptions must be finalized on-site at the shelter, so if you’re planning to visit and adopt, be sure to make accommodations for time.
