Calling all cat lovers with a taste for purrfection! We've got two bowls of love ready to be adopted – Minestrone and Chowder. This adorable sister and brother duo are ready to ladle some sunshine into your life.
Minestrone, the spunky tortie with mesmerizing blue-green eyes, is a chirpy charmer. She's a social butterfly, always craving affection from humans and her sweet brother Chowder. Catch her under the covers or basking in sunbeams, ready for a snuggle or a playful pounce with her bro.
Chowder, on the other paw, sports a sleek black coat that perfectly complements his pale yellow eyes. He's a bit more reserved than his sis, but will follow you around, give kisses and yes, of course, is always up for a good belly rub! He silently meows for attention (precious!) or carries his crinkle ball around like a prized possession.

The process for adopting a cat involves a couple of steps.
Step 1 Gather information
We gather information about the potential adopter's situation, what they are looking for, their current household and pets, etc.
Step 2 Cat “Interviews”
Next, we have the potential adopter meet the available kitties, by putting them directly in touch with the appropriate foster parent(s) to coordinate a day and time for a visit.
Step 3 Adoption application
Once the potential adopter has met the kitties, if they decide they want to do an adoption, they fill out our adoption application, which we then process. It takes a couple of days to process the application. Once the application has been processed and approved, the kitties are ready to go home.
Step 4 After the adoption
Once a person has adopted a cat, Feline Friends Chicago continues to stay in touch with the adopter to ensure a smooth transition for both the person and the cat. We remain available for questions and advice.
All of our kitties have been combo-tested for FIV/Feline Leukemia, spayed or neutered, vaccinated for distemper, microchipped, and dewormed. The adoption fee helps to offset the costs we incur to do all of these things.
Please keep in mind, we are a very small volunteer group and not set up to do out of state or long distance adoptions. If you live out of the Chicago area, we encourage you to look at your local shelters where there are wonderful animals waiting for homes.

To meet any of our cats in the Feline Friends Chicago program, we arrange meetings between foster homes and potential adopters.
