PLEASE DO NOT HIT "ASK ABOUT"!! If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website www.wiseanimalrescue.org/adoption-application!
WISE is entirely volunteer-run and all of the donations made go directly back to the animals in our care. By partnering with veterinary practices that support our work, we are able to save animals’ lives and restore them back to health. While some animals only need standard care, others require more extensive veterinary or behavioral care. Depending which dog you are applying for, we are looking for adopters to support our program with a donation from each adopter. We appreciate the understanding of our potential adopters. Please keep this in mind prior to applying.
Name: Max G
Breed: Chihuahua mix
Age: approx. 6 years
Home recommendation: Max G just needs some extra love and patience to show him that the world is a good place! He can be nervous at times, but once he settles in, he will become your loyal best friend! He would do well in a calm household.
Personality: Max is a very lovable dog. He is a snuggle bug and loves to play with his toys. He loves to spend outside time in the sun and when excited he starts to spin in circles! Max may love his toys, the outdoors, and the sun, but, what he loves most is strawberries. It is his favorite little treat. He likes to spend time in bed or wrestling with his stuffed lion. When he is not snuggling with you on the couch, he enjoys going on walks where he struts his stuff around the neighborhood!
Kids: 16+ As Max would do best in a low activity household.
Dogs: Yes! He would do well with another laid-back dog.
Cats: Yes
Crate Trained: He is not currently being crated and he is not destructive when left alone
House Trained: Working on it!
Training: Max G needs a patient, understanding family who will work on his training and socialization. He can be a little apprehensive in new settings but he is getting more confident each day. He is very treat motivated.
Why did he come to WISE? Max G was surrendered to WISE after his family had a change in living situations and could no longer care for him. Despite this, he is making great progress with his foster family and can't wait to get adopted!
