Available for adoption in near Saratoga Springs New York: Lelia (pronounced Layla), was named for the luck of the Irish after being found on the side of the road with her littermates in Oklahoma.
Lelia is currently being fostered in upstate NY. She is about 16 weeks old and an assumed Aussie/border collie mix. She is playful with other pups and loves everyone she has met. She is a happy pup who’s tail is always wagging. She loves praise, especially being told “good girl”. She will need continued work with trainings as she is just a baby! She is currently fostered with other dogs and a cat.
She had a rough start but is now ready to live the good life with her forever family! There are some additional fees:
$50 REFUNDABLE spay deposit, will be refunded upon proof of spay, $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to her new family and $65 transport fee for her transport from Oklahoma to New England. Application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application
All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.

More about this rescue
Nancy Gonzalez, founder and CEO, created Australian Shepherds Furever (ASF), a non-profit organization to promote the educated adoption and rescue of the Australian Shepherd (Aussie) dog breed.
In July of 2012, ASF initiated as a Facebook page hoping to have 1,000 user "likes" by the end one year. The page quickly outgrew expectations, now with a network of nearly 67,000 individuals striving to provide aid and refuge to Aussies all over the country.
Using the Facebook page as a platform, the website www.australianshepherdsfurever.org was developed as an additional resource aimed at educating the public on this intelligent and beautiful breed. It provides resources for those seeking help, or those willing to contribute to the Adopt, Save, Foster (ASF) philosophy. Through this philosophy, ASF has saved the lives of countless dogs and helped to provide assistance to those that have nowhere else to turn.
We as humans have a responsibility to speak up and take action in favor of those beings that are less fortunate. Thanks to a team of passionate and proactive volunteers, Aussies nationwide are given a chance at a better life through Australian Shepherds Furever.
