'Hello friends! I'm your Vitameatavegamin girl!' My name is Lucy and I am a 1.5 year old whippet/pitbull mix! I was found as a stray until Love Connection stepped in and saved me. A little about my history. Unfortunately, I was forced to be a young mother and sadly I wasn't treated kindly as I am a bit timid and shy when you first meet me. But despite that, will you please let me show you that I do not have a mean bone in my body? I get along great with other dogs and even cats too! I haven't been able to have much experience with children yet so it is recommended that I get to live in a home with children 10 and older. I enjoy going for walks and I do very well on a leash! I love to play with toys! And when I'm very comfortable, I even love to enjoy snuggle time with my humans. Lastly, I will need an adopter who would be willing to put in the time, love, and patience into building that special bond with me and a home that is relatively calm! Their adoption process

1.
Interview

We will do an over the phone or in person interview with our adoption counselor.

2.
Home Check

We will need a video of your home. We need to see the front numbers of your home, a quick inside walk through and a detailed backyard video.

3.
Meet the Pet

Meet and greets are done at events or at foster homes. These include all members of the family including all pets.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

Adoption contract will be completed before dog is allowed to come home.

5.
Pay Fee

Adoption fee is range by the age of the dog.

6.
Take the Pet Home

Pets will only be taken home at our adoption events so all paperwork can be given.

Additional adoption info

If for any reason we see signs of the dog or puppy not doing well in the meet and greet we will remove them from the situation. Foster to adopt is available for many adult dogs.
