My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Foxy, the epitome of feline charm and grace, eagerly waiting to find her forever home. She arrived in the shelter starving, very underweight, and accompanied by a large number of feline companions in equally bad shape. They were diagnosed with a number of parasites but are now doing so much better after getting treatments and proper food. Adopters may need to be prepared to administer additional deworming treatments if needed.

Shy and reserved, Foxy is a quiet observer, cautiously navigating the world around her. Though initially timid, once she warms up to you, Foxy reveals a treasure trove of affection and loyalty. With patience and understanding, she blossoms into a devoted companion, seeking solace in gentle pets and quiet moments by your side. Foxy's quiet presence brings a sense of calm and serenity to any home, offering a soothing balm to the stresses of everyday life. For those who appreciate the beauty of understated companionship, Foxy is the perfect addition to your family. A home without young children would probably be best but she likely could live with cats and dogs with proper, slow introductions. Come meet this sweet soul and experience the profound bond that awaits with a shy but loving cat like Foxy.

**FOXY IS CURRENTLY AWAITING A DENTAL SURGERY TO REMOVE A BROKEN TOOTH SO SHE IS NOT ABLE TO BE ADOPTED JUST YET. LOCAL POTENTIAL ADOPTERS MAY HAVE THE OFFER TO FOSTER TO ADOPT WHILE SHE IS AWAITING HER SURGERY. ASK STAFF FOR MORE INFO.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
