Bring this sweet, adorable pup home with you today! She loves to play with toys, cuddle with humans, and chase frogs on walks. She has young, playful energy (we guess she`s 1-2 years old) and will go on as many things walks as you`re willing to give her! She loves joining us at breweries where she gets pets from every passer by.
She`s good around both other dogs and small kids, but would probably be best for a home without cats. She`s not much of a barker and has been pretty well behaved (although has been known to steal our unattended food). We think she`s some mix of a golden and collie, and is a bit bigger than she looks in photos. She is potty trained, has taken well to crate training, and has been making great progress on leash training too!

Our shelter has more than 500 available cats and dogs every day! For pets at the shelter: Adoptions must be completed in-person at the shelter. AAC is open for adoption walk-ins every day from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. A shelter pet’s availability can change at any time, so we recommend choosing a few favorites. For pets in foster: Go to www.AustinAnimalCenter.org to find the pet's profile and click that pet's pink “Adopt Me” button. This will prompt you to complete an adoption questionnaire. Submitting an application does not hold the animal for you.
We have dozens of animals that won't be listed online yet because they're still in their stray hold period, but can be pre-adopted at the shelter in case their owner doesn't come for them.
Adoption Fees:
$80 cats & kittens up to 6 years old
$80 dogs 6 months to 6 years, 30 lbs and up
$100 dogs under 30 lbs and/or under 6 months
$30 small animals
No fee for senior pets 7 years and older
